"Mac" is a very good-looking well built gelding standing 15.1 hands that anyone can ride. He is very well broke and gentle that was previously ridden by an older couple doing ranch work, trail rides, play days and ridden in the mountains. Mac has a good handle and rides on a loose rein with a good backup, side pass and stop. He is very smooth at the walk, trot, and canter. We have used him for trail rides and lessons for a teen girl. He will open and close gates, carry a flag, walk across water, down, streams, through thick brush, over fallen trees, down and across deep ditches/ravines, and walk over bridges with no spook. He has been used in the obstacle course walking on plastic bottles, across bridges, and walking the teeter-totter. He will stand quietly for the farrier/vet, while being bathed and groomed. While being saddled and well being mounted from either the ground or mounting block. He will stand tied to the trailer or in the cross ties. He is a type of horse you can ride once a week once a month or once a year. He is dog and friendly, gentle and easy to catch, has GREAT ground manners, and gets along with all of our other horses. He loads and halls very well.
Mac would be a great prospect for ranch sorting, team penning, grand entry, parades, barrels, poles, drill team, queens contest, mounted patrol, a pony horse, Western pleasure, playdays, a trail horse, trail horse competitions, walk-trot, lead line or as a lesson horse.
