Dolly is a 14 year old Haflinger mare standing right around 14.2 hands high. This is one awesome horse! She rides and drives and she’s suited for nearly any level rider and driver. She will pick up all gaits but prefers to walk and sometimes needs a little encouragement for the canter, most of her experience under saddle is on the trails. She’s fabulous up and down hill, through water crossings, over logs, over bridges, she’s great with her feet and not spooky with deer/squirrels/coyotes/bikes or hikers.... (read more) She’ll lead, follow, or ride in the middle of a group or she’ll go out alone! If she is left behind by others she doesn’t get upset or worry about catching up if you don’t ask her to. Dolly is more woah than go, she doesn’t have much arena work but she’ll ride around one. She would be perfect for anyone wanting to go down the trails and have a nice relaxed and reliable ride.
Dolly drives single or double and will drive on either side. She is traffic safe and simple to harness and hook up. She will stand all day and easily walk on when asked. Dolly is reliable on and off of the farm. She stops and stands at stop signs and she will back when asked. She is as straightforward and honest as they come. Dolly has foaled in the past and had a beautiful Belgian/Haflinger colt on her own with no interference and she was a spectacular mother.
