Freddy Cruizer aka TR KID HANDCOCK is a 2021 red dun gelding. Standing above 15, he should grow to 15.1, if not taller. He is green-broke and a pretty straightforward guy. Coming along very nicely; he has got w/t/l under saddle down, working on pushing from the hind and engaging his back. He has a prompt stop, turns nicely on the hind/fore, and is learning the side pass and contact. Freddy Cruizer is very in your pocket; he loves attention and being with you.... (read more) He is not for you if you are not looking for an in-your-pocket horse. He is forward-moving, with plenty of go, but not hot or anything, happy to stay at the pace asked. Started using Buck Branaman’s methods, so he is familiar with the flag and tarp. His hind end grew significantly this winter so he is currently butt high but he should even out as he grows. I just took him out on trail for the first time, and he was phenomenal (we even walked past his herd to get to the trail, and he did not bat an eye). Not yet bombproof but pretty darn brave for a colt. Still working on patience while standing (paws on occasion). He was bred by my boss, and she has owned him all his life and out of her grulla stud. Overall, there is nothing too complicated about this guy. his mom was a 2D barrel horse, so I am confident he could go in that direction. He would also make the cutest dressage horse, but there is absolutely no limit to what direction he could go. Just needs finishing out.
