Apple is a 14 year old Appaloosa gelding standing a perfect 15.2 hands high. I can’t say enough good things about this horse. He is a joy to have in the barn. He’s a total gentleman. Apple stands tied, stands to be groomed, braided and loved on, he stands nice for the farrier, and adores attention and loves the little ones. He’s the first to greet you at the gate and nickers to you in the barn.
Apple works beautifully off leg and knows about the arena, although we don’t do much arena work he knows his job anytime he steps into the ring.... (read more) This guy will also take you down the trails all day long. He is a steady eddy type of horse and nothing bothers him. He is not spooky with coyotes, birds, deer, rabbits, dogs, hikers etc. He crosses bridges, moving water, ditches, hills, rocks, and roots. Apple has three lovely relaxed and balanced gaits followed by a simple stop. Apple is suited for nearly any level rider. He was previously a camp horse and he knows exactly how to take care of his person. We have popped him over a few fences and he’s always been honest.
He lives outside almost 24/7 but is quiet in a stall when he’s in the barn. This is a great guy for almost any family.
