I bought Venus as a project and had hoped to keep her longer but plans have changed.
She can be haltered and leads well but can be skittish at first. I can pick up her feet, rasp them, and brush her all at liberty. She loads in a trailer and is learning how to stand tied. She tolerated the farrier but could use more practice to be more confident. She just started learning her groundwork.... (read more)
She follows you around the pen, whinnies for her food, and happily takes treats from anyone. She does well with other horses and tends to be at the bottom of the pecking order. While she is nervous, she’s never once offered to kick, bite, strike or otherwise be mean. She really wants to please and bond with someone, she just needs time.
