Jack is a unicorn of a mustang and will make the right person a wonderful all around partner.
Jack is a 2018 BLM Mustang gelding from the Pancake, Nevada HMA.
Standing approx 15-15.1hh, he is stocky and an “easy keeper” type.
Jack is very developed on the ground with an advanced education and is very safe to handle.
He is used to commotion of people, dogs, pigs, machinery, and other little critters being all around him.... (read more)
Jack is developed under saddle riding WTC English or Western; soft in the bridle, good brakes, developed body control.
He has plenty of trail miles and is comfortable riding out by himself or in a group. He crosses logs, water, mud, or steep hills.
I have hauled him to various obstacle practices and he is fairly brave and willing. If there’s ever something he is unsure about, he’s not the “spook” type but can be cautious, if you softly support him he will push through it and it isn’t typically that big of a deal. He has been ridden in a Christmas parade and handled it like a champ!
I can see him doing well in a variety of disciplines with some low level showing, but he would also be perfectly content just hacking around at home or spending his time hitting the trails. At this point in time, he’d be best going to a home with a consistent schedule.
Overall, Jack has a very quiet and easy going temperament. He is very in your pocket and affectionate towards his people. He is one I consider emotionally sensitive and will not be suitable for someone tense, nervous, or assertive.
At this point in time, he is best suited for a confident intermediate rider and above to be consistently riding him.
Please PM me to discuss Jack more in depth or for more information.
