Palomino Racking Stallion.

Comanche, a six-year-old stallion standing at 15 hands, exhibits a calm and quiet demeanor, displaying excellent manners and riding remarkably well, he is definitely more whoa than go.

He would make an exceptional gelding or could remain a stallion for a suitably equipped owner.

Comanche coexists peacefully with mares, he has not shown any aggressive tendencies towards mine, and rides alongside them daily without incident.... (read more)

However, pairing him with a gelding triggers his dominant stallion behavior, which has resulted in bite and kick marks on his body from altercations with my two geldings.

Comanche has better handle than the two geldings, making him more suitable for a new home, and my ranch lacks adequate accommodations for stallions.

The Dark Horse Ranch is a small-scale passion project, not a rescue, aimed at rehabilitating and retraining a few horses annually to find their forever homes, with each horse funding the next.
