Kip has been a great lesson horse for my program, getting along well with every rider I’ve put on her. She’s patient, forgiving, and excellent at building confidence in inexperienced, nervous, or young riders. A few of my beginner youth students have even shown her at ranch horse shows in the WT and done well.

However, she’s not quite the right fit for the competitive goals of my program moving forward. She is not gonna be competitive enough for some of the classes at the ranch shows (reining in particular).... (read more) This does not mean she is not a talented horse. She will make someone a fantastic partner.

She would be best as a casual trail riding family horse or continuing as a lesson horse. Conformationally she is a little behind at the knee, but this has never caused any issues with her soundness. She does have the "mare stare" at times and is the leader of the herd, but she has done well with my other mare she's pastured with. She is a sweet heart towards humans though, and loves her scratchs and attention. She especially loves young children.
She’s an easy keeper, requires no special maintenance, has no health issues, and is completely sound. UTD on everything.
