Clyde
This is a once in a life time opportunity. There are not very many drafts like this gelding that are extremely fancy and broke to ride.
Clyde is a 12/14 yo Belgium/qh cross gelding. Standing about 17hh I need to tape all of about 1400 pounds. His withers are well above my head. He’s elegant. He’s gentle, and he is absolutely head turning. First to greet you for attention. Clyde has been put thru some mounted patrol tests.... (read more) He will in fact plow thru a crowd if asked. He’s been hauled to the trail course. He goes thru flags, up bridges, over tarps, thru water, over logs. He does not bat an eye. If he’s timid you push him forward and he does what is asked! I was told he pulls a cart, however I do not own one nor would I have any idea how to do so if I did! Clyde has been rode in the arena by a 6yo girl. He is in fact and in every way SAFE. Easy walk trot lope. Collects up very nice. Turns around on his hind end. Stops good. Side passes. Side passes at a trot across the arena. Again once in a lifetime kind of buy. I love this gelding. I enjoy having him around. I typically do not own horses of this size. However. How could you not if you get the chance! He is very slow when a child is on him, when I ride him he’s more of a work horse, which is what I ask of him. He’s very easy to ride and control. However his size can be very intimidating. Absolutely NO buck bolt rear. If you do not want a horse that is well above your head at the withers please do not bother. You need a big trailer. I have a stock trailer and he fits. But barley. Clyde saddles up quiet, stands tied. Hauls great. Wears a front set of shoes. Very docile. He will fit great in just about any home. I doubt this guy will last very long. Wherever I haul him people drool over him!
