“Dry Aged Cat” aka BUCK is a 15 hand tall, beautiful, buckskin gelding.
He is a finished cutter with NCHA earnings of $2,600.... (read more) Sired by Palo Duro Cat and out of a Playgun bred mare. Buck was started and trained as a cutter and had a successful show career. He then went on to be an older ladies all around horse. This last year, we have used him for everything! Buck will cut, trail ride, ranch ride, run barrels, sort cattle and whatever else you ask of him. He lopes smooth, beautiful circles and stops strong. I have won several cowgirl challenges, ranch cuttings and sortings on him. He is very willing and always works with his ears forward and a want to please attitude. Not only is Buck a fantastic athlete but he is the VERY best babysitter for the littles or the folks that don’t know how to ride. I mean it, he is better than paid help! He is forgiving, tolerant, sure footed & good with other horses. You can kick back and relax on a trail ride as Buck rides outside with confidence and has zero spook. He has what you could call a “puppy dog personality”. He wants to be your friend and he even likes belly rubs. Buck would fit just about ANYBODY! This big, gorgeous gelding truly is a “One size fits all” type of horse. He can be peddled around by the kids but is all there when it comes time to work. He never fails to turn a head wherever we take him. This horse has been a pleasure to own & it will be difficult to see him go. Owning this horse has been an experience like no other. He is a true unicorn that we have been beyond blessed with. Buck was looked at by a veterinarian on January 4th and passed a lameness exam with flying colors.
