This is the ultimate crack a beer open and go on a trail ride kinda guy. He’s safe. He’s gentle. He will go wherever you point him.
Later grade gray gelding do not let the age scare you away. He is still in great shape, and has plenty of life left in him. He’s at his prime stage in life. Standing about 14.3/15hh with good size to him. This gelding is nothing but honest. He’s been loaded in a trailer and hauled out hours to a trail course he’s never seen.... (read more) Saddled up, hoped on and rode thru all the obstacles. He crosses water, goes over bridges, tarps, logs, flags, etc. the winds were about 40mph during the course videos. Been in parades, used to sort donkeys on, been to the beach, taken down the road. He will walk trot lope in the arena very smooth gaits. Nothing fancy but he does it. These kinda horses I love for my more novice riders. You aren’t going to accidentally ask a button and end up in a pickle. He’s a very uncomplicated ride and you can make mistakes without a reaction. He wants to hit the trails and adventure out!!! Sitting in an arena going in circles doesn’t give him the joy of site seeing, and who can disagree! If you’d like to try him, meet me at the course a day or get on and go ride around the property. That’s the home he needs. Id love him to go to a home that trail rides, does parades, things he enjoys doing. He has solid bare feet which is unusual for where I’m at. Most require shoes. No known health issues. No maintenance. My horses are fed good quality forage, and clean water. No supplements. No grain. Nothing fancy. He’s an easy keeper. Good with other horses. During the horrid rain I had him in a bigger stall with another young gelding and they did good together. Blankets, loads and hauls great. Stands to saddle, bridle, bathe. Not barn or buddy sour. No spook. No buck bolt rear. He is more of a forward ride, he’s not a slow slow horse, however he’s not difficult to ride, if you can get in the saddle you should be able to ride him. Truly just a great all around horse for someone that wants to feel confident on. He’s priced for an uncomplicated sale. Bring your trailer. If you’ve got to speak to your trainer, husband, barn manager, dog, friend first please do so before reaching out! He won’t last long.
