"Joaker" is a 14.3/15HH AQHA cremello gray splash stallion, because he is a double dilute, he does not present as a gray but as a cremello. He was bred by Lee Lopez of South Dakota and wears his Diamond A brand on his right hip.... (read more)
We purchased Joaker in 2021, he was not started under saddle but can be haltered and minimally handled, I would personally consider him a range stallion. He has been kept separate in the off season by us but his previous owners did keep him with other stallions and geldings. They said he was low in the pecking order and a wonderful baby sitter to younger offspring. He has only been a pasture breeding stallion. He does his job well and is respectful to the mares and foals. Have not had any issues with turning outside mares or foals by outside stallions, he keeps watch over them as his own. He is extremely respectful to outside mare and foal pairs. He gives them time to want to join up and still checks on them. He has impressed me in every way out in the pasture. He is respectful in his pen no matter what time of year it is, he is always respectful of your space.
We have 3 foal crops sired by Joaker and are expecting a 4th this spring. They are very smart and friendly. These horses are the type that you can not man handle, you need to work with them and have mutual respect for one another and they will do whatever you ask. We have decided to make some changes to our program and we are going in a different direction which is the only reason his is being offered for sale.
With his color genetics he can only produce palomino and buckskin foals – other color options will vary depending on the color genetics of the mare. He also has a 50% chance of producing a gray, splash or gray splash foal. I have noticed with the foal crops that he has had for us, when they are born if they look sorrel or bay (which they cannot be because he is a double dilute) they will not gray. If they look palomino or buckskin at birth they will gray.
I have included pictures from him in the breeding pasture from 2024. I have pictures and video of his offspring including updates from clients with pictures and video as well as pictures of him on my business facebook page: Diamond KT Performance Horses or you can find more information on my website.
