For the love of draft, look at this mare! One of the most well exposed, young draft crosses on the market, Missy is available. She has been a one owner horse since she was weaned, and brought along right by a mature adult amateur.
Missy's list of accomplishments include liberty work, obstacle courses at home, in clinic settings, and for ETS Trail Sports in-hand competition. She's been hauled out for multiple clinics and educational endeavors.... (read more) In addition, Missy has been ridden on the trail at multiple public trail heads, as well as participating in the Stone House Ranch trail clinics, in a large group setting. Her owner has done an incredible job making her one of the most well rounded young mares on the market, and it shows in her confidence and ability!
Missy is currently in a training program to finesse her carriage in an arena setting and market her for sale. She has a solid training foundation already in the ring, just needs some little finishing touches like lifting her shoulders up through her transitions and turns and commitment to riding in frame. Her gaits are lovely and smooth and she is very comfortable with herself. She is more of a push ride and won't work any harder than you need her too. She has been ridden english and western, in a snaffle, as well as a bosal. This is a very versatile mare that has all the right qualities, no matter your fancy!
Missy has no vices, clean legs, is barefoot and very sound. She is 15.1hh. She stands tied without issue and is easy to catch and haul. Great for the vet and farrier. She is a little on the "mare-sh" side and doesn't love feeling crowded by other horses when she is being worked. Sometimes she puts her head up when you are brushing her face, but spend a moment with her and she will put it down. She's got a really cool color - looks like a dun right now, but a dun roan when she sheds out.
Overall, this is a really super option for someone that is looking for a big, pretty mare to add to their barn. Trainers would love to have her in the barn, she is the typical draft personality crossed out on a lighter riding horse for more freedom in motion. Come and meet her, she won't last long!
