If you’re looking for a bomb proof trail companion, or a nice ranch horse - look no further. Don’t let her age fool you, Misty is barefoot and requires no maintenance. Easy keeper, lower end of the totem pole in the herd - keeps to herself, and does well in a mixed herd.... (read more) Misty has a nice WTC, with more whoa than go. She will go when asked, but might not be my first choice for speed events - Unless you’re looking for a high school eq or youth rodeo horse! Misty rides out alone, is traffic safe, and absolutely bombproof on the trail. Will ride English, but is primarily a western ride. Has a great neck rein on her, and is responsive to leg cues. Nice, stout mare that is very safe under saddle and has been our go to for our beginner riders, and for our kids on the trail. She has a few vices I’d be willing to share with interested parties, nothing that affects her soundness or performance under saddle. She would make an excellent ranch horse, she will open and close gates and seems to enjoy having a job. Does well for the farrier, gets blanketed out in the pasture. Prefers to live outside, currently on free choice hay with access to a run in and she is thriving. No buck, rear, bolt. Will ride bareback and bitless. Typically wears a snaffle and a wide tree saddle.
