I became acquainted with Romeo several years ago when he was with Ashleigh Martin at Ashleigh Martin Performance Horses here in Texas. Romeo is a big, classy gelding. He stands just over 15.3 hands and is turning nine this year. He is in the prime of his life! Nice pedigree too filled with pleasure and cowbred horses from Zippo Pine Bar to Sonny Dee Bar and Two Eyed Jack! Romeo was trained as a reiner, and he has all the fancy buttons (see his video). He is a well-mannered, gentle, broke gelding who will best suit a confident beginner level rider who can appreciate his level of training. He has been lightly shown and used for local 4-h events, but for the past several years has been mainly used as a trail horse and lesson pony. He has been ridden by people of all ages, including children. He is familiar with farm life: other livestock, equipment, dogs, etc. This gelding is the epitome of handsome and versatile. He could easily go back to the show pen. He’d make a rock star cowboy dressage or ranch versatility / ranch riding prospect.
