Chip is the type of horse that you just enjoy being around. Watch his video and see him following my 3 year old daughter around, with a calm, dropped head and big soft eye. He has experience in rough country in Texas, to the pasture, and even down the county road.
Chip is more Whoa than Go, and happy to walk/trot/lope around on a loose rein. He will pack around on the trail, or ride in the arena, but won’t be getting anywhere too quick.... (read more) His big, kind soft eye, and golden retriever personality is what I like most about this guy. Chip has a walk, trot and lope that is smooth as silk, as well as a nice deep stop and smooth transitions. He has a one handed neck rein, and will move willingly off of your leg cues. He does all of the trail obstacles: teeter totter bridge, cowboy curtain, whips, tarps, gunfire and flags are old news to him. He has the brain of a horse twice his age and is very receptive to what is asked of him. He has good foot and bone, giving him the opportunity to have a long successful career. Chip has been exposed to all farm machinery and equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. He is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
