Nellie is a 16-year-old grade buckskin mare standing just over 14.2HH. This beautiful girl is sweet, personable, and eager to please. The best thing about Nellie is that she is incredibly SAFE. She has no spook, buck, or silly business. Whether she’s sat for months or been ridden every day, Nellie is always the same calm and steady horse.

No matter the setting, Nellie is unfazed and fearless!
In the arena, she’s just as impressive, riding one-handed with ease. She knows her leads, responds to cues lightly, and is a pleasure to ride. Nellie has a smooth one-handed turnaround, a soft reverse, and an easy, responsive stop. She would be an excellent candidate for trail classes, versatility competitions, or just a wonderful family horse to enjoy on any adventure.
Nellie is also comfortable with various obstacles, such as flags, tarps, and balls. She has been around farm animals like cows, goats, and plenty of dogs, and she handles it all with grace. She’s easy to catch, load, and bathe, and her farrier has no trouble giving her a quick trim. Nellie is calm about clipping her nose, face, ears, and legs, making grooming a breeze.
