Sophie is one of the sweetest mares you can be around, she is kind and gentle with people and truly enjoys attention. She is a little lighter in build overall and would make an outstanding riding mare.... (read more) With fluid movement and a willing nature she is going to be easy to take far under saddle. She has been backed and ridden lightly but would benefit from formal training. There has been no resistance in her with regards to training or anything thrown at her so far.

Sophie is the dam of Zeke - she has been a good mother and has shown no aggression or resistance to the handling of her foal or vetting process. Prior to foaling out however, she did display acts of aggression towards other foals over food. We would strongly recommend if she is bred in the future that as she nears her due date that she be fed separately and away from other foals. Otherwise she does very well in a herd and is middle of the road in status.

Given her superb conformation, but lighter overall build, a heavier more traditional stallion is a good match for her, as you can tell in Zeke who is fantastic, his sire is generous with his bone and build and yet Zeke retains the beautiful head and elegant pose of his dam.
