Attention All-Around trainers/ competent amateur DIYers. I have quite the investment opportunity for you!
Here is a budget friendly, baby doll headed, gorgeous moving, 2021, 15.1H, double registered daughter of Zips Magic Man o/o The Invester bred mare. Lana oozes with potential, and has already debuted in the show pen this last year. Lana is a top quality green prospect that is ready to go on with. She has been started and fully maintained by a confident teenager and has lived solely at home (trailered into trainer for the weekend lesson).... (read more) She has extensive off property exposure, has been trail ridden at the beach, state parks, and has been shown in an indoor arena! Naturally quiet minded, incredible lope, great jog, SUPER comfortable to sit, already started in the showmanship, and has even gone over a few cross rails. This one will be a top all-around contender that will be hard to beat!
Lana is easy to catch and enjoys living in a stall (corner pooper). She goes out during the day, and is under lights in the barn at night. You can clip her face/bridlepath without a halter/twitch. She loads, unloads, and stands tied. No crib/pace/weave in a stall or in the field. She does not kick the stall walls or kick at her neighbor.
She does best on 10CC regumate (administered on her grain daily) as she produces huge follicles which cause some discomfort during her heat cycles. Vet believes that as she ages, she may grow out of this problem. Lana does have some sassy red mare syndrome – and has some occasional attitude. Most of the time her ears are forward and she is sweet. Other times not. She has threatened (lifted back leg as a warning) to kick on the ground and offer the occasional “nip” inconsistently (a few times in the cross ties and another time in her stall when I was tossing blanket on). If she sits longer than a week – I would toss her on the lunge line as she may come out a little cold backed. Once jipped around you can swing a leg over without problem. She needs an owner that is confident and competent that will check her attitude in line if needed– otherwise I fully believe this mare will take advantage of a timid/beginner handler.
Per her papers she is HYPP N/N. Recent dental on file from last month, she has a correct bite but is cosmetically missing 2 front teeth (can send photo). She is barefoot and appears extremely sound with clean legs. No history of lameness issues. PPE welcome at your expense. Priced to move, with strong preference to a show home to let this gorgeous girl shine. Could also go into a broodmare band as well. She has a current coggins and is ready to go!
