“HQH Grandious” or as we like to call him Queso, is a registered AQHA palomino gelding. Queso stands approximately 15.... (read more) 3 hands tall and is beautifully built. He has just the right amount of chrome and a beautiful white mane and tail. He is a very in your pocket type guy that wants to be friends with everyone. He has absolutely fantastic ground manners, he’s easy to catch and stands great tied. If your looking for that all around type horse that you can trail ride, show English or western, arena ride, or give lessons he’s your guy! His potential is out of this world. Queso is started in the reining training and ranch pleasure training. He has also had countless miles of trails under his belt. In the arena he rides absolutely beautifully, he is soft and supple in the bridle and collected throughout his body. Queso will give to leg pressure, and listen to every que you give him. He’s a very comfortable horse to ride and all his gaits are smooth and collected. He will set his head, have a nice slow jog or smooth long trot, he picks up both leads at a lope and has a beautiful 360 turn around. And started on big stops. His one hand neck rein smooth and simple and he also rides two handed. He will side pass, back up and pivot correctly. He also lounges free or on a line perfectly. He always stands still to be mounted stands patiently while sitting on him talking to friends. On the trail Queso is a steady eddy! He will go out alone or in groups, lead follow or leave the group with no issues. I have crossed big rivers, been up super steep mountains and crossed tied to trees on queso and he’s always been a gentleman. Queso has been one of my favorite horses I have had in the barn for along time. If I could keep them all he wouldn’t be going anywhere but he is ready to make someone a fantastic horse! He is ready to go in any direction you want! He’s a very quick learner as well, he’s also a joy to be around. He is great in a stall, great for the farrier, vet, and to bath, load, tack and groom.
Queso is Vet checked with a clean PPE, and Clean X-rays on file. He just had his teeth floated, new front shoes, 5 way, rabies vaccinations and up to date on worming. He is clean legged and sound. He’ll have one small scar on the inside of his leg, it’s never bothered him and very small and hardly noticeable. He picks up all 4 feet easily, he is not spooky and doesn’t have any bad habits or vices. Let Queso’s video speak for himself and imagine all the places he can go!
