About his sire:
Velantis N, a 2018, 17.2 hh Hanoverian stallion by Vitalis, is an exciting new choice for North American breeders. When paying attention to the European breeding scene, you can’t help but notice that Velantis’ pedigree combination is highly sought after.... (read more) Those horses carrying his lines show quality, ridability and are sold at record prices. Vitalis and Floriscount produced numerous top licensing candidates and sales for several European breed societies. Besides the high scores and rapid ascend to top performance, the ridability and ease in which they adapt to their environment is unequaled making these young horses fantastic for anyone to ride and own. That is what Christiane Noelting, breeder and owner of Velantis had in mind when combining these genetics which started with the importation of Velantis’ impressive Dam “Fleur D’Amour”
Velantis himself is true to his proven pedigree. Christian Hartung, his rider, says: "Working with Velantis has been an amazing experience from day one. He is very intelligent, focused, and a quick learner no matter what I ask of him. I was very impressed with how brave he is – showing in the large indoor in Rancho Murietta the first time at barely 4 years old, he did not even flinch. At the end of the season, we walked into the Equidome to receive our Championship awards at the LA Equestrian Center, I didn't have to worry about him being distracted by the surroundings or other horses."
During his 2022 show season debut as a 4 year old, Velantis received scores in the 70% - 80% range winning both the CDS and USDF Open Training Level Championship at the California Annual Show in Burbank with scores near 80%. An impressive first season in the showring was followed by the stallion licensing and a successful stallion performance test scoring 8,7.5,8,8,8 -7.9 overall, ranking him as youngest and top 5 out of 17 stallions presented in North America.
In 2023, Velantis continued his show successes by defending both Championship titles at the California Annual Show. This time at the First Level Open division, he earned blue ribbons for both CDS and USDF with scores of 75%! Earlier during the season, Velantis qualified for the Festival of Champions show in Chicago, USDF's Young Horse National Championships. With scores as high as 87.5% at the FEI 5-year-old tests, he was one of the top qualifying youngers for Chicago and also completed the requirements for full stallion approval.
The 2024 Show Season turned out to be the most successful show year thus far and marked Velantis' State Championship Title hattrick. For the third year in a row, he won all his championship classes, making him the CDS and USDF Region 7 Champion. At the same Championship Show, Velantis also won the 6 year-old Futurity for upcoming Dressage Talents in California. His most impressive achievement however occurred earlier in the season, where he received an unheard-of 91.8% at the FEI Young Horse 6yo Test, during a qualifier for the annual Festival of Champions in Chicago.

About his dam:
Chickboxer is a phenomenal example of a modern sporthorse mare. At 16.2hh with excellent limb conformation, a nicely tied together topline, and superb articulation when she moves, she accentuates and brings out the best in nearly every stallion. To date, Chickboxer has not produced a foal that has not neared 17hh, regardless of sire size, so we expect nothing less of Versace. Chickboxer's pedigree is stacked with horses that have succeeded in sport (Ice Box, High Yield to name a few) and she is proving to produce foals that will not fall short of exceling in any ring.
Versace was born and raised in large field in a herd environment. This establishes the foundation for understanding horse herd behavior and creates a healthy brain from day 1. Not only that, but because he is growing up in a healthy herd environment, his joints are allowed proper development and consistent movement. He was registered, branded, and microchipped Westfalen NA in August.
