We are looking to rehome a beautiful pair of Percheron geldings, named Slick and Willy. They are wonderful boys, but we do not have the time or people to give them the attention they deserve. I am hoping someone can provide them with some love and something to do! To good FOREVER homes only, we will ask for references, vet/farrier info, and a meet and greet with the horses before anything is finalized. If we don't find the right match, we will keep them.... About Slick and Willy:
- They are around 20 years of age, but in impeccable health with zero wear and tear. They were pasture ponies/trail horses, minus some team driving when they were 5 years old. They are up to date on all vetting and dental care. They are barefoot and see the farrier every 3 months for a regular trim.
- They have experience being ridden bareback, Western, and English in the past, but not in a few years. They would need some time and retraining. Draft experience would be helpful as they are big boys. Will have to work on the ground with them first.
- Extremely easy keepers. They live in the pasture during the warm months, eating grass and hay. In the winter, they come inside for bad weather and are supplemented with grain and hay. They would be fine with run-ins instead of a stall as they just want to be horses and prefer the ability to roam around.
- Slick is a giant teddy bear. He will stand for hours while you scratch and groom him, putting his head down so you can reach and give him attention.
- Willy is more shy and will take time to trust you. He has always been this way. He wants to be loved, always looking to Slick for guidance and to know that it's ok. They have been together since birth so they MUST stay together.

We love them and only want serious inquiries into good FOREVER homes. However, if we find the right match they will be free as we just want the best life for them. Located in Hartland, Vermont.
