"She's foxy", our old horseman friend said when he first saw her. And she is - her color, her movement and her personality are all eye-catching. We purchased Smoky as a grade yearling, and have spent a lot of time with her since.

Smoky can be pretty strong-willed at feeding time, but knows how to submit too when needed, and while not a deadhead she is respectful around her people. She leads, lunges, ties, catches and puts her nose on the ground.... (read more) She also does reasonably well with fly spray, washing, and trailer loading. She has been trimmed and is barefoot and sound.

She is well started, with 35 rides by 2/28/25, including outside through woods, creek, and pasture. She has been ridden in a rope halter, a side-pull and a snaffle, and also bareback. She has a calm and curious personality with energy and drive to go. She is built well for moving out smoothly, with excellent reach and a slow, rocking-chair lope.

Smoky has the potential to become a superb all-around ranch horse, and she is familiar with a rope. We also think she has enough speed to run barrels or other performance events. With her personality she'll become a trusted family and trail horse, and when we look at her color and conformation we can't help but think about breeding her.

She'll be up to date on vaccination, worming and trimming, and we can arrange a Coggins test as needed. We'll continue to ride her as weather permits through winter, but she is also ready to relocate and continue her journey with you.

We can provide more information or pictures, and we welcome visitors. We would also consider adding delivery if interested; throughout the High Plains, and also in the direction of family we have in the east - IN, OH and PA.

Wolf Farm

We are a small farm in Pratt Ks. We raise a few foals start a few colts on occasion. We currently have a POA stud featuring bloodlines such as Fly The Red Eye, Go Man Go, Dash For Cash, Skipper W, and Two Eyed Jack. specializing in good minded ranch and family horses.
