18 yo paint gelding, 15 hh. Sound barefoot wears boots for rocky rides has been shod in the past. Ranger has been my trusty mount for the past 6 years, he is an absolute trail boss. The only reason I'm selling is because he needs a lighter rider I'm not for running him into the ground and I know I'm too much for him at his age. We have done 4+ hour trail rides on an almost weekly basis sense I've owned him and he loves his job!... (read more) He is not fond of arena work and he hates being ridden alone he needs a buddy. No buck, bolt, spook or rear. Traffic safe with other horses. Trailers great, good with vet/farrier and floater. Good ground manners, stands tied and even does well for overnight camping. His vices are needing a buddy, and he hates being stalled needs a run in. And he's not fond of water hoses, I've worked with him on this and he can be bathed now but he's still very unsure about it. I would not consider him a beginner safe horse unless he's on the trail then most anyone can ride him. He will lead or follow, crosses grated bridges, wooden bridges, streams and logs. Nothing fases him when he's in his element. He rides in a mechanical hack which will come with him.
