Popcorn is a very sound mare. She’s not know kick or spook at a majority of things, but she is saddle shy we’ve tried to use a saddle on her multiple times not only have we done it with different saddles, but we have also tried with English and western saddles. She will not respond to them and will only stand still, she freezes and will not move. She responds with her bridal and will work with a bareback pad, but refused to work with a saddle, she does not have a temper and she is halter broke.... (read more) I would not say she is a kid horse, but I would not say that she is aggressive. She just needs someone who has the time for her currently I’m trying to build up my career on barrel racing and do not have the time for a 23 year old mare. She has a strict diet of blue stem hay and dried beets but will eat anything you put in front of her. She is stabled with one other horse and they do not seem to have problems. She will load and unload. She will stand still for most of a bath. She overall just needs a lot of saddle work.
