We are toying with the idea of selling this sweet weanling filly that we call Sasha, mostly because our stallion is getting older so we are selling some of our broodmare prospects that are still quite young.
Her color genetics are quite rare for a Fox Trotter: Ee Rn/rn Z/n Cr/cr (silver black roan aka “chocolate blue roan” with a cream gene). She can throw just about every color including any color of roan, and the elusive chocolate silver dapple coloring.... (read more) She looks a little goofy with her winter coat, but she will be a stunning roan with a flaxen mane and tail in the spring when she sheds out. Pics of her half siblings with the same color genetics available. She also has the prettiest head ever, and is put together nicely. I will grab better pics of her soon. Pics are from her first foal shed late summer.
This filly is bred to the hilt. She is registered MFT. Her sire is Double Black Silver Cannonball, one of the few stallions in the breed with the silver dapple (chocolate) gene. I have seen Cannonball in person. He is a stunner and a nice mover to boot. He also has size. He is at least 15.1. Cannonball is chocolate roan (also called silver black roan or nicknamed chocolate blue roan) in coloring.
Sasha’s dam, Texas, is one THE prettiest and best built MFTs mares I have ever seen. Texas is built like a tank and well gaited too. She stands 15.1. Texas’s sire is Dreamspinner’s Gold Keeper and her dam is out of a Patriot’s Twister mare. (Texas’s full sibling sold for $30k a few years back. Here is a link to the sale page and video: visit our website She is a top notch mare in every way.
Sasha is all gait on the ground. Has a lot of mane for her age, which is no surprise given mama and daddy both have a lot of mane. When we got her, she had not been handled much. However, we have been handling her and she is coming along well. She does not have a mean bone in her and is very sweet. She will be a dandy. A dream for both riding and breeding.
$5,500 or best offer. Located in southern Utah.
