"Stormy" is a 2012 13.1h purebred registered Welsh mare. She is looking for a new home due to the fact her kid really is no longer into riding her.
While for the past 2 years she has spent most of her time teaching her beginner kid w/t/c on the lungeline, she is not being advertised as beginner friendly. Previous to her purchase she was a competitive 2'6 jumper pony. She is looking for a keen, confident kid in a program ready to get into the show ring and be competitive.... (read more)
In these past 2 years, she has not been in any sort of consistent work. She would go weeks to a couple months without her kid being interested in riding. Only since October has she been in any sort of program and she has been ridden consistently 3 days a week by an advanced rider. Just recently has been put back over fences and she is loving jumping again. She is a very forward pony, but has brakes.
Hauls great, ties and cross ties. Kid handled and has great ground manners. Up to date on teeth, farrier, worming and vaccines. Super easy keeper, is fat on hay. Great in a herd, is always lowest in the pecking order.
A couple cons, is that she does not clip without sedation. She does not even like her fetlocks trimmed up with scissors. She will however stand to have her mane done. And she is sensitive to noise and can be looky.
She will come with all her tack and all her blankets, including her 15" pony saddle with safety stirrups
A thorough ppe was done Nov 2022, including bloodwork to check insulin levels and she passed with flying colors.
