Our stunning 2024 buckskin colt, Kevin, is officially weaned and looking for a home!

Sired by our 17hh Irish Draught stallion, Manu Fortis Blue Nile (by Touch of the Blues), and out of our best APHA eventing mare, Summer Twist (50% TB), Kevin is already showing:

We start training our foals from day one, with them being handled daily alongside their dams. At this point, Kevin stands for haltering, leads even when away from the others, has stood tied and cross-tied (although we keep these experience brief at this age), stands nicely for trims, loads into the trailer and trailers well. He is touched all over regularly and has been reasonably desensitized, although we avoid unnecessary potentially traumatic experiences at this age, so he hasn't been exposed to extreme pressure, except vaccinations, of course. Most recently, he has started being ponied short distances and handles it very well. If he doesn't sell as a weanling, he will continue with his training as a yearling and potentially beyond. All of our foals spend at least part of their first year in a turnout next to the road so they become comfortable with traffic and we have a McNab with energy to spare who gets them used to dogs running around their feet. Our program is designed to offer the horses we produce at any age, but to also put them through our training until the right buyer comes along, even if that means not selling until they are finished. Our price does increase as they progress, about every 3-6 months.
