VOODOO SURPRIZE, or most commonly known as “Dude”, is one of those once in a lifetime horses.... (read more) We could write a novel about all of the incredible qualities this gelding holds but we will try our best to keep it short (ish) and sweet!
We purchased Dude a few years ago from some dear friends of ours as a solid rope horse and little did we know he would become one of our favorites in the barn! Dude has been hauled extensively as a head horse to ropings across the US and has even made the trip as a number 1 head horse multiple times to Arizona during the famous “Vegas Week”. Dude is rock solid in the box, will score rock solid every time and has plenty of run and rate! When needed, Dude has also doubled as an awesome heel horse!
It’s hard to explain a horses personality through a video or even through text so that is why we encourage anyone seriously interested in him, to come see him for yourself! On the lowest days, Dude makes it that much brighter by always being the first one to the gate or the first one to stick his head out of the window of the stall! Let the little ones play all around him and love on him like he’s meant to be their size and let him teach them what it takes to be a cowboy/cowgirl while also serving his purpose as your #1.
Whether we have family coming in from out of town or someone needs a horse to make a few runs on, Dude is always our first pick to look after everyone and anyone! Check out all the different people riding him in the video… I think that speaks for itself!
#1654 reasons why we love Dude is he is super broke. Soft in the bridle, spins a hole in the ground, trots and lopes with his head down and heck, even take him for a spin bridle-less! This gelding knows his job, is confident and loves doing it.
As we said earlier, Dude has been hauled across the nation so he is extremely good to haul. When we say nothing bothers him, NOTHING bothers him! And by nothing it includes, shoeing, give shots, oral shots, being stalled, washing, water, people, other horses, and the list goes on and on!
The answer everyone will ask, “Why are you selling him!?”. As part of our program, we buy horses that we can put time on and sell to others. We keep them so we can guarantee what you’re buying and know exactly what they are getting. And unfortunately it’s now Dude’s time to find another person to love and be spoiled by!
Dude is the perfect size standing at 15.2hh and is SOLID muscle! Not only that but he’s a Palomino and who doesn’t love a gorgeous palomino horse to haul around??

Things to note:
Dude is selling AS IS! Dude sells sound however does require corrective shoeing on his front feet. The corrective shoes he wears have been on for 6+ months and we have had ZERO issues with him. They make him the most comfortable and able to do his job and serve his purpose. Great horses require maintenance, so don’t let it scare you! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call and ask!
