Gentle, calm, & quiet!
MAGGIE is a 3 yr old, Percheron/Quarter Horse Cross Mare, standing 16.2. Her sturdy frame makes her suitable for larger riders, but her mind and training have proven her safe for the tiniest of riders as well.... (read more)
On the trail, Maggie is a more whoa than go style. She patiently walks the path she is guided. She crosses water, bridges, downfall, add over rough terrain with ease. She is not herd bound. She is an enjoyable ride alone or in a group. She is traffic safe. She rides the same in town as she does at home.
In the arena, Maggie has a floating trot, canters on the correct lead both directions, side passes, spins, stops, & backs. For an experienced rider, Maggie can be ridden bridleless with only seat & leg cues….shes that broke! Even though Maggie has all the fancy buttons, she will mold right into the perfect horse for someone less experienced. She is very tolerant of inexperienced rider cues. She is patient and waits for instruction.
Maggie is exposed daily and is comfortable around children, dogs, atv’s, & farm equipment. She carries the flag, is unbothered by waving tarps, and is gun safe!
Maggie is a true pleasure to have around. A mare that you would never know she’s a mare. She is super easy to catch. You can walk up to her anywhere in the field and put her halter on or open the barn door and here she comes! She stands tied/cross tied like a lady. Stalls well, always neat & tidy, or turns out in a mixed herd, zero issues. She enjoys grooming & bathing. The kids are able to load & unload her by themselves and she hauls well. Maggie has always been barefoot. She has great feet and maintained on a regular trim schedule.
Maggie is ready for her forever partner! She sells with current coggins, a recent wellness/soundness exam, proof of vaccination, & health certificate required for transport.
