Ruby is a well-mannered mare who saddles, loads, ties, picks up her feet, and is ready to be started under saddle. I purchased her a few months ago from the breeder, where she had little training. My initial plan was to start her and get her into the show pen, but as a full-time college student and business owner, I haven’t had the time to continue her training. This mare is a true athlete, with the potential for open-level competition. She’s sensitive and feely, and may be cautious around new people, but once trust is established, there’s nothing she won’t do for you. Ruby is not suitable for a beginner or youth handler, as she is a lot of horse. Her dam was not shown, but she’s sired by Smart Quick Merada, a cutting horse earner of over $100k.

Ruby is up to date on everything, and I welcome any vet checks at the buyer’s expense. She has a cosmetic scar on her right front leg from an old injury, but it doesn’t affect her performance. She is stout, straight legged, and a beautiful mover. The price is firm—this is an exceptional mare.
