Additional Comments
Ontas Corner Pocket (aka Pockets) is a 14.2hh perlino, non characteristic appaloosa mare.
Her sire is a cremello aqha stallion.
Dam is a Smokey black leopard appaloosa mare.
Okay so here's the story.
I've had her since 3 months old. Got her on a trade.
She's been great. She was lightly started and never got finished. She was out on pasture for a few years.
Paid a trainer to restart her.... (read more) Spent several months being told "she needs more time". Okay, I get it... several months later we had a falling out.
Come to now, the horse has several bad habits that she never had before and she needs a trainer that can help her get back to the calm, mellow, loving, and SANE horse she once was.
She does NOT TIE anymore. She will hurt herself.
We have been slowly trying to get her used to it but she can't be hard tied.
She rears when you pick up her front feet. Like, wth...
Now she bolts as soon as you get on and ask her to move out. We don't ride with spurs and we had her checked by a chiropractor and she got readjusted. We tried a few days later and same thing happened.
She has zero soundness issues. She loads very well into trailers. She has never been sick a day in her life. She is up to dates on everything but we didn't do rabies vaccines this year. She is easy to catch and very personable.
She is heterozygous black and heterozygous agouti, homozygous for cream. She has no LP and one copy of PATN.
EeAaCrCrPATN.
She is 5 panel negative by parentage.
I am only selling this horse to someone who knows what they're doing. She would be a great horse to train and resell.
She may even make a decent broodmare since she has decent conformation, great feet, and good bloodlines.
Oh, speaking of.
My house burned down and her transfer papers were burnt. I'm on decent terms with last owner and probably could get papers.
She is on allbreedpedigree . Com as ONTAS CORNER POCKET
Her sire is a barrel horse in. Nevada. Dam is just a broodmare.
Pockets has only spent her life in a pasture or paddock, NEVER BEEN STALLED. She isn't buddy sour, and isn't barn sour.
I can also breed her to my perlino dun stallion for a perlino foal if you'd like.
Shoot me an offer, trades welcome, ideas, anything.
I've dumped about $6k in her and I need to recoup something... but I realize she isn't worth it right now.
