TRAIL HORSE DELUXE!
Looking for a trail riding home only!

Say hello to Ruger, a thick built 14year old Quarter Horse Gelding, standing right at 15hands. Currently barefoot with great feet! This boy has seen many trails and never bats an eye at ANYTHING. This guy does have his own motor though so his rider has to be okay with regulating speed with half halts or just be down to rip and roar down the trails sometimes!... (read more) This guy would ride forever if you wanted him to! Due to him having his own motor he's best suited for an intermediate level rider that doesn't mind having a good time out and about, he will do arena work sometimes but I do feel like he shines the brightest outside the arena. He seems to get bored and anxious riding in a circle every ride, so he is looking for a home that only wants to trail ride! He has done ranch work out west and has great solid feet and never taken a lame step. He will do whatever you ask of him! Absolutely no spook! Crosses bridges, water, cruises down the road, never bats an eye down a new trail! This guy is dying to have his own person, hes got a big puppy dog personality. He loves spending time in the barn being loved on.
He will willingly pop over a log/crossrail on occasion too! This sweet boy will stand tied in the barn all day, no maintenance, easy keeper, easy to catch, loads great in the trailer! His only thing is he likes to go so his rider has to be confident & enjoy some get-up-and-go! He's a barn favorite! He's just ready to find his person! Take him home & enjoy having a nice solid horse out on the trail!
1-8-25- We took Ruger out on a snowy day trail ride & he did great! He really thrives outside of the arena, alot more relaxed & happy to please! In the arena he tends to get a little quick at the trot, totally different and better horse outside the arena!
