“Sugar” is a 14 year old Belgian mare standing 16.2 hands high, this girl is as sweet as they come. She stands in cross ties, stands to be groomed by the small kids, stands to be tacked, and picks up all feet. This girl is the best babysitter in every way. She picks up all gaits but prefers to take it slow. Sugar is great in a stall or happy to be turned out, she is turned out in a mixed heard of mares and geldings, she isn’t the lowest on the totem pole but she certainly isn’t the boss.... (read more) She isn’t nasty in the field but will pin her ears if another horse bosses her around.
Sugar loads, leads, ties.
This girl is just as simple under harness, she stands to be harnessed and walks off easily. Sugar stops, stands, and backs. She is good in traffic and commotion.
