Meet Grit, aka Nity Gritty! This fella is a 5-year-old registered AQHA gelding. His personality is best described as an old soul. He’s kind, steady, and loves people. I’ve had Grit since he has eight months old and he has been the easiest colt to start.... (read more) He is 14.2 hands tall and, in another year, he is going to fill out nicely. This guy has amazing ground manners, respects your space, trailers like a pro, and good for the farrier. He’ll stand tied for hours for you. He’s has been exposed to a lot, putting a good number of miles under his belt for his age. I ponied this fella over mountains’ high and valleys’ low to be poetic. In the last couple of years, he has been my partner on trails and at clinics. He’s even been all the way done in Florida to a Martin Black clinic. He is solid to ride, is easy to control in hand while roping, and has been exposed to cattle. However, I haven’t roped anything alive and wiggling on him yet. As of now, he is the best critter I’ve trained. Grit has a solid foundation. There are no hidden vices with this cow pony! He has been given time, consistency, and has been started right. That said, he is well broke and young, but I don’t recommend him for complete novices. He would be great for anyone with horse sense and good feel while riding. I am confident that a kid with intermediate riding skills will do well with this fella too. He is up to date on shots, has a current coggins until January, and I’ll have his medical history in hand at pick up. Thank you for your time!
