Maverick is a very sweet boy around 16.2h and built like a tank. Estimated to be around 15-18 years old. Perfect feet! He is a Standardbred so he does pace unless held together at the trot, but he won’t canter. He goes out on the trail alone or with groups and is much more of a laid back ride. We ride him bareback, western, English, treeless, in a halter or hackamore! We’ve had horses gallop out infront of him and he doesn’t mind at all; he will happily stay back.... (read more) He would make a great husband horse, grandma mount, or someone who just wants to have some quiet time on the trails (my mom rides him). Deer and turkey have jumped out infront of us and he doesn’t even flinch (we were by ourselves too). He has a very comfortable walk and is incredibly sure footed. He has a scar in his left eye that has caused him to lose some sight, but it’s not going to get worse. He stands to be tied like a gentleman and is the easiest keeper for how massive he is. His owners rescued him and then gave him to us for free. We are selling him as a trail horse or companion.
