Smirk (JC: Funnee) is just over 16hh 4 yr old liver chestnut thoroughbred mare. I bought her as a two-year-old in September of 2022 with just 3 lackluster starts.

She has done some low-level eventing at the recognized starter level (won at GVH in Area 1 this summer). She has solid flatwork, has been cross country schooled and lightly fox hunted (14x 2nd/3rd flight with the GVH hunt). She is good about gates, never cares about the hounds and easily handled our terrain.... (read more) She can hack out alone or with others, she has about 60 hours of trail riding experience (including hunting and hunter pacing) and is working toward her 100-hour TIP recreational award. She loves to trail ride/hack out.

She is a quiet but forward horse, a lovely mover and super sweet. She is a tall, but narrow, and will be a nice ladies mount. She is a big moving with a decent stride. We have taken a few dressage lessons with Susan Gilson and she really excels at that. She consistently gets eventing dressage scores in the high 20s. She is on 24/7 turnout, wears front shoes and has no vices. Goes in a plain snaffle (and hunts in a plain snaffle).

She never says no, but she is still building confidence over fences. She will need someone educated and patient for her jumping to continue progressing, but is currently successful over 2' - 2'3" courses
