Reba is a 10 year old grey mare. Registered quarter horse. Nicely broke. Has been to the mountains and spent two summers on pasture chasing cows. If she sits for a while, she will give you a crow hop when you first saddle her. Once she is done, she is done, no dirty business. She appreciates a kind voice and a soft hand and will melt to kindness like no other. She will go all day every day for you and pour her heart out. She has some quirks when it comes to her ears, has been worked on and is getting way better, could use more work when bridling.... (read more) She has had one foal prior to us owning her. We tried breeding her last year but the stud turned on her and she's left with a nasty scar on her butt. Hasn't taken a lame step ever. She is a working horse and not a weekend ride. Can be hard to catch in a big field until she makes up her mind. Stands tied, decent with her feet, has had shoes on all summer. Has had fearless beginners on that didn't mind her little crow hop. Our girls ride her bareback. Rides out alone or in a group no problem.

While our main focus is pastured pork, grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb and pasture raised chickens, Horses are a part of our every day work during the summer months and go through refreshers and training in the fall and winter so they are ready for the upcoming season.
