Meet little Annie! She is an absolute baby doll. Annie stands 14 hands tall barefoot and she is 14 years old. She is a beautiful bay roan unregistered Kentucky Mountain. I don’t say many horses are kid broke but this little lady has packed many young’ns over the years. She has been kid tested and she’s grandma approved. Annie is the kind of horse someone can learn to ride on. She’s patient as a saint and gentle as a lamb. She’s not just for the kiddos though.... (read more) Anyone of any age would enjoy riding Annie. Yes, even grandma can ride her. She has excellent ground manners and loves attention. Not your typical mare at all. She is very personable and sweet. Annie will stand tied, picks up all four feet with ease, stands for grooming, saddling and easily takes a bit. She will stand to mount from the ground, mounting block, truck bed, log, rock, whatever you need to use to crawl in the saddle and she will stand patiently for her que to walk off. She will walk off calm and quiet until ask for more speed. She has one of the best gaits I’ve ever rode in 30 years. Annie is smooth as glass! If you have back, hip or knee problems this one would be for you! Her gait is 110% natural. She requires no knowledge from her rider to get her in gait. There’s no tricks to her. Hop on and go. Annie will cross water, logs, mud, ditches and trenches. She will go anywhere you ask her to go. She is not barn or buddy sour and rides confidently alone. Annie won’t act mareish in a crowd, she’ll ride in the front, bring up the rear or ride anywhere in between. She is low on the totem pole in the field and never causes any fuss. She’s easy to catch anywhere or will meet you at the gate if you call her name. Annie will load and unload in a trailer with no hesitation and hauls quietly. She is a true angel!
