If you need a safe, SMOOTH, sure footed, loose rein beer drink’n weekend warrior trail horse- you’ve found her!... (read more)
Fallon is an APHA registered, 2010, 14.3H mare. She weighs in at a solid 1200#! She is thick, wide, and muscular in stature. Fallon is such a kind soul, she loves to be groomed & doted on. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, and gets along with everyone in the pasture. The coolest thing about this mare is her unfazeable mentality – she could care less about what is going on around her. Tarp safe, carries the flag, bouncy ball safe, traffic safe, 4-wheeler, big trucks, you name it she is gentle gentle gentle. Not spooky, very laid back, and a great overall fun mount to go explore new trails! She has gone camping many times and will stand on the high line overnight. She handles rocky, slick, steep, and rough terrain with ease. Fallon never hesitates when being asked to cross water, over bridges, down gullies, or over logs. In fact, she loves the obstacles! She is willing, brave, and sensible alone or in a group out on the trails. Haul her out to a new place and she will step off the trailer like she has been there her whole life.
Formerly used for cowboy chores – this mare has spent many hours tied to the hitching post alongside countless other ranch horses, has been used to doctor cows, drag calves to the fire, moves cows around, check fences, and rope the dummy a bit. This mare as a ton of cowsense to her – she will pin her ears and will eat one up! She has taken many trips to New Mexico where she has gone from sunrise to sunset working and navigating the land. You can ride her to town and even go underneath the awning by the shops. Seriously, this girl goes anywhere you point her! She adores attention, and just loved when everyone was petting her when we rode her to the Sonic drivethru!
If you want to dabble into a little arena work, she can do that too! She is by no means a fancy show horse, but she can picks up her leads, get soft in your hand and collect into the bridle, and do basic lateral movements. Fallon's jog and lope are incredibly smooth to sit! She has a very willing/forward style to her. A rider that enjoys a horse with its own motor, that is light in the contact, and is more go then whoa will appreciate Fallon’s style! She will ride out on a comfortable draped rein out on the trail and has a neck rein. She goes in a snaffle, or curb bit, and she seems to really like our 3 piece dog bone Dutton with a medium shank.
She offers no buck, rear, bolt, kick, or bite and has great ground/stall manners. There is no “mare-ittude” with her, and she seems to be a silent heater. Wears a size 78” blanket, easy keeper, UTD on coggins, recently had her teeth floated by our licensed dentist, adjusted by our barn D.C., shod up front, and easy to live with. No scars or blemishes on her, shes a very healthy mare. Papers in hand. Easy for farrier/vet, loads good, saddles/bridles, picks up her feet, and can be handled by non horsie people. If you are looking for a beautiful to boot, loving, and seasoned trail blazer – you’ve found her. Vetting welcome at buyer’s expense. Fallon is located in Terrell, TX and we can arrange delivery to any state affordably.
