SOLD Leo is an 8 year old Mustang gelding. Very in your pocket kind of guy. Always the first to the gate, begging for scratches. He adores affection and muzzle kisses. Honestly more affectionate than my domestics haha. He is very eager to learn new things and loves connecting with people. He's not a bit shy. I have had him for 2 years. He was TIP trained before I got him and competed in a mustang competition. He has had tons of ground work. Very soft and responsive to cues.... (read more) He knows all the basics and a couple cool tricks. Stands tied, great for the farrier, respects fencing, leads, lounges, trailers, saddles, etc. He checks all the boxes!
I have ridden him walk/trot quite a bit in the round pen. He is typically more whoa than go. My 9 year old has ridden him around bareback with a halter. I have done all of our riding in a halter or hackamore. He loves it and is very soft and responsive. I have also ponied him from another horse all over the foothills. He has crossed creeks, logs, etc. He seems to enjoy the trail life. I have ridden him on the trails 2 times. He still needs more confidence out on the trail under saddle, but he is getting better each ride. For that reason, I would consider him still green. I think he would do best with an intermediate rider. Asking $1200, flexible on the price.
