Pocahontas is an eye-catcher with her varnish red roan appaloosa coat, silver highlights in her mane and tail, and her stout conformation. In addition to her phenomenal appearance, Pocahontas has a gentle spirit and is quite a seasoned horse.

Take her through town on a busy day with loud traffic, down trails with white-tail deer running by, or even across the entire red river from Oklahoma to Texas, and she will keep a rider safe.... (read more) She is a confident horse who goes wherever asked, through any terrain and over any obstacle. Pocahontas is a safe, proven partner, who also shines in the arena. She is a beautiful mover at all speeds with her comfortable short lope, collected trot, and steady smooth walk. Pocahontas has won ribbons in halter, ranch rail, pleasure, horsemanship, and trail classes at horse shows. She has a solid handle with her smooth transitions, catches her leads well, and neck reins responsively and soft. She also rides english with direct rein, and would be a great candidate for English equation. In addition to her experience in traveling and showing, she is also seasoned in babysitting. She spent a few years being ridden by a six year old girl, so she is careful to not go faster than her rider asks, doesn’t make unpredictable moves or respond too abruptly to her cues.

Pocahontas adores attention, is eager to meet you in the pasture. She always wants to be right by people and is the definition of in your pocket. She is a joy to be around and is patient when being groomed, tacked up, or bathed. She picks up all her feet easily and is great for the farrier. She is UTD on shots, farrier, and has a recent negative coggins. She is eligible to be registered in the Appaloosa Horse Club Association.

She stands a stout 14.3 and is 12 years old.
