Charley is an adorable draft cross Gelding, a little thicker built without the huge bulk of a full draft.
This beautiful boy is a gorgeous mover, carries himself very fancy and he is broke to drive very nicely! He drives like a dream and is a fun pleasure driving horse, or could do light duty carriage work, such as occasional weddings!
He is bombproof, traffic safe and gentle to handle. He is beginner safe to handle and drive, and up to date on feet, teeth, Coggins, and worming.... (read more) He is currently barefoot with regular trims and will pick up for the farrier. He is 16 years old, and about 15.3 hands, leads, loads, ties, stands for tacking and grooming, gets along with other horses and will stall, but is currently on free choice hay and pasture 24/7. Easy keeper and little to no maintenance. No vices or bad habits such as cribbing or pawing, etc... easy to catch in the field, handles well!
He does also ride, but needs to be worked regularly for riding. However, he can sit for months and hook up and drive with no problem. We did initially have him checked and adjusted by the chiropractor to make sure it wasn't a pain or medical issue and he rode fine afterwards, but now he's been sitting again and I don't have time to work him, so I'm offering as a driving horse. He would be a great one to learn to drive with. He is a rescue, so still needs some muscle built back up but looks fantastic compared to when I got him. He's very friendly, with a great personality and the most beautiful eyes! ? Greets you with the cutest nickers!
