Half Friesian, half quarterhorse mare that stands a solid 14.3 hands, may finish out to 15 hands. I own her mother which is the quarterhorse and she is here on my farm for someone to see.
She was friendly the day she was born, as she gave a little nicker as soon as she saw me. She walked over and said hello and she has been that way ever since. Whenever she sees you, she will come right up to you in the pasture and absolutely loves attention.... (read more) She has zero bad habits and does great in the stall and outside. She has lived outside most of the time and has worn a blanket in the wintertime. She will stand still for the fly spray in the summer and even wears a fly mask when they got so bad this year. She gets her feet trimmed on a regular basis, which is every 10 weeks. She may get done more in the summer when the feet grow faster. She stands well tied anywhere and is used to being trailered as well because we took her to get her feet trimmed a few times. She loves to play in the water trough or the creeks if she has access to them. We have had her in the field with longhorn cattle and black Angus so she is very comfortable with them. She has been led behind the side by side from being brought in from the field, and she is used to dogs and cats as well. We also have turkeys, and chickens that she is around and does not mind them.
I did not want to get on her back at all until her forth year so have been just doing ground work, minimal work in a round pen with free lounging and working with a Lunging Surcingle on. She has also learned to work in a bridle with a bit and excepted it beautifully. She will back and turn from the ground and yields her hip well to your commands. Nothing is solid as it was my plan to let her mature and grow as a horse before she went into a full training program. I have had a western saddle on her a few times just to expose her to it as well.
She has a lot of energy so she will be a horse that will excel with a demanding job like dressage, endurance riding or even jumping or eventing or as she has shown she likes to jump objects in the field and she learns very fast and likes to please.
Due to life circumstances, I have decided to offer her for sale to no fault of her own. I am in no hurry to see her go so with that in mind, I will not be quick to sell her to the first person that responds as I do care where she goes so that she will have a great home. If you feel that she is a horse that you have been looking for or you have more questions, feel free to reach out.

I used to specialize in the sale of safe horses for multiple disciplines. I only took in horses on consignment that are not problem horses. I have been enjoying life as a stay at home mama, homeschooling my boys and have not placed horses for a few years. I have quarterhorses now as our family horses.
