Introducing CH Ulquiorra's Heart, AKA Espada. He's a 13 YO 15hh grey Quarter Horse Gelding. He's looking for a confident rider.
Espada has done it all: rides on roads, trails, jumps, goes western and English, though I've only ridden English with him. He has good ground manners and is very in your pocket. He just likes to sniff people all over and lick their clothes! He WTC , is very treat oriented. He is up to date on farrier and shots.... (read more) Loves people a lot and will run up to the gate to see me. Nearly bombproof, has never bolted or bucked. My 5 year old cousin rides him on lead line with no issues. I've leased him out and he does fine with riders other than me. He prefers the trails to the ring and I love running down trails with him! Goes bitless or plain snaffle. He is barefoot.
The reason he needs an advanced rider is because he will take advantage of someone not so confident, including myself back when I first got him. If you give him an inch, he will take a mile. He will walk you right out of the ring if he doesn't feel like working that day. He will gallop down the trail if a strong hand doesn't tell him to slow down. He'll never buck you off. His idea of a tantrum is standing still and not moving despite my cues lol. He's not dangerous at all, just stubborn and knows how to exploit people's weaknesses. If you give up and let him win, he learns this. You have to be consistent.
He's safe, just a bit lazy and stubborn. But he is a great all around horse who gives 100% to a rider who knows how to get the most out of him. I wish I could keep him because he is my best friend, but I don't think I'll be able to maintain my horse obsession with a newborn!
Espada is located in Westfield, MA. Seriously interested parties will be allowed to test ride him. PPE welcome at buyer's expense. Transport off farm when purchased must be arranged by buyer as I do not own a trailer.
Asking 6.5 K firm. I just paid 3 K alone for some work done on him. No papers.
