Doc is a 3 year old AQHA blue roan gelding (owned him since weaning). Last measured at 14.3 hands (possibly 15 hands now). Doc had 30 days of training about three months ago. I've only ridden him twice since then which has led me to the realization that I don't have enough time to invest in the continued training that he needs. He will still be considered "green" but can be finished out the way you want one to be. In his training, he was being used at the local stockyard to run cows down the alley and also carried small calves in the saddle with the rider.... (read more) He was being used to work cows in pastures, even roping a couple cows. He seen some trails, crossing water and logs without a lot of hesitation. He will load with ease, stands tied, and super easy to catch. Doc will be the first to you in the pasture. He is a bit spoiled and still have a puppy dog personality. I have personally owned Doc since he was weaned so he's not been passed around. You can love all over him, crawl under him, and he loves butt scratches. Doc has good solid feet: been trimmed but never been shod. He does okay for the farrier but still needs some more experience. He is 100% sound. PPE welcome at buyer's expense. He has old scars on his right hind leg from being chased by a proud cut gelding last year. Wound was superficial caused by barbed wire and healed quickly. I do not have to sell and am in no hurry to do so. Only serious inquiries please. A great home is a must. Please note: horse is still green but eager to please. Transport can be arranged at buyer's expense (I do have a great transporter). I have some videos I can send as well. our phone number
