Smokey” – 15.1H, 6 year old sorrel roan grade quarter horse gelding. Smokey is a solid using horse. We have loaded him out several times to check fences and day work on when someone was short a horse, and he has been used many many horses in the turnback pen. He is pretty marked and has that classic using quart horse look. He rides outside just as well alone as he does with others, he is used to going out alone and has probably been out more alone than he has been with others.... (read more) He lives out in a big group of geldings, and has also stayed relaxed and happy when kept in the stall barn. He is easy to saddle and bridle, stands tied, gentle to groom and loves a bath. He hops right on the trailer and will stand tied quietly all day anywhere that you tie him up. Not remotely horsey / herd bound or barn sour, he enjoys having a job and going to work. Smokey was just shod this two weeks ago, his teeth were also done by an equine dentist, and he had his sheath cleaned, his ears treated for ticks, and he was also power packed wormed. He is good to shoe, has great feet and also goes well barefoot – if his new owner prefers him to be barefoot, we can have his shoes pulled and trim him prior to him heading to his new home. He will arrive at his new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!
