This big beautiful boy is looking for a wonderful place to call his forever home. Hero is a solid 17.2 hand draft horse that is BUILT and has the sweet eyes and love along with it. He LOVES his treats, a run between the ears, and to be loved on by "his person". He came to us after being neglected by previous owners. He currently has a beautiful roached mane, cleaned up tail, and is really looking like the beautiful horse that he is. He is a puppy dog once he knows you and we would really love to see him go to a place that will give him the love and attention he craves but hasn't gotten for most of his life.... (read more) He will NOT be eligible to go to any lesson or therapy barns- we want to give him a situation where he has "his person" or a family to love on him. He has a solid W/T and will canter if asked (but really would rather walk all day long!). He has driven and ridden both western and english and can sit and not need a big tune up- however he hasn't been ridden consistently in the last 6 months so will need a tune up. Thats why are selling from the field/as is. He had never seen an indoor arena until coming here, but did really well. He is good out on trail, loves other horses, and is content living outside or inside. He is good for the vet, on the crossties, grooming, and feeding. His only vice is he does require stocks or sedation for trimming. Because of his size finding a home that already has drafts is ideal. He is very strong horse. He would be a beautiful addition to anyones herd for a companion, a backup horse or friend/husband horse for when someone visits, or your main trail mount. He would be great for an intermediate rider, as a second husband horse or a strong beginner. Has light suspensory needs and takes a daily supplement. He is up to date on floating (September 2024), shots (October 2024), and has all 4 feet trimmed as of November 1st. Does not require shoes.. He will come with his halters, leads, and a bag of his current grain (Tribute). Seller has had a big life change and due to her health needs to find him a great home asap. He is being sold out of the field. He is located in Wadsworth IL. No current videos at this time. Will take offers for a great home. Would also be open to a share board or lease opportunity to the right person.
