Cookie is a 3 year old pony gelding standing 9.3 hands high, this guy is as stout as he is tall. Cookie is ridden and handled by children from beginners to intermediate. He will ride in a halter and lead or in a snaffle. This cutie will walk on a loose rein or pick up the pace when asked. He isn’t a deadhead and would be an awesome step-up pony. Cookie will move around the arena more than willingly but he doesn’t know a lot about ring work.... (read more)
Cookie is more experienced with trail rides! This guy goes down the trail better than most older horses, he has never hesitated crossing water, bridges, mud, ditches etc. He is brave enough to take the lead or he will gladly follow behind, which is where he usually rides. He goes up and down hills and knows where his feet are. He is careful crossing roots and uneven terrain and takes on the trails like a full size horse. Cookie is safe in traffic riding alongside the road and doesn’t mind tractors, semis, or motorcycles. He is around cattle, hogs, coats/sheep, chickens, cats, dogs, and ducks on the farm daily.
Under Harness, Cookie is just as simple and quiet. He is simple to harness and hook and walks on calmly. He has a cute steady little trot when asked to move out. Cookie is safe in traffic and will take you down the road or also gladly take you on a leisure stroll around the farm! This is the perfect all-around pony for nearly any family!
