This is "FERGIE", a stout made stylish SHIRE QUARTER HORSE CROSSBRED MARE that is fun, experienced, and versatile. She is 5 years old and stands 15.2 hands tall. This mare has been hauled and shown by a novice rider at the open shows, she has been to the ranch rodeos, and to the large state parks trail riding. She has been on weekend trips and stands tied overnight. She has been used for ranch work and been ridden in the indoor and outdoor arenas.... (read more) She will ride out alone with confidence and she is a great trail horse that will go through any depth of water. She is well trained, will lope nice circles, catch her leads, one step lope, side pass, and back up for any distance. She rides low headed and relaxed when in the woods. You can open and close gates off of her and she will step over to a mounting block or stump in the woods for mounting and dismounting. She gets along well with other horses, stands tied, loads, hauls, and bathes with no fuss. She is an attractive mare with lots of style, feel, and ride. She is fine with dogs trailing her heels and has been in large groups of horses when trail riding. She doesn't care if she rides in the back, middle, or front. She is not hot and she lopes collected.
